Legacy Program - World Padel Tour Amsterdam

A more inclusive sporting landscape through the power of the World Padel Tour Decathlon Amsterdam Open 2023

Background
Following the 2022 Legacy Program, World Padel Tour Decathlon Amsterdam Open 2023, in collaboration with the City of Amsterdam, Province of North Holland, KNLTB, EY, Van Lanschot Kempen, Dentons and Team Sportservice Amsterdam, is once again committed to creating a more inclusive sporting landscape. Through a renewed sports programme, the aim is to make padel accessible to a wider audience and inspire participants to continue playing the sport.

The Legacy Program aims to reach, inspire and enthuse two hundred ROC students and people associated with local community organizations.

Legacy Programme set-up

To allow participants to experience all facets of the sport, the program consists of three components:

1. Introduction to the sport.
During the clinics, participants are taught the basic skills and rules of the game under the guidance of padel professionals.

2. Experiencing the sport
On Wednesday afternoon, October 11, participants will visit the main tournament of the World Padel Tour Decathlon Amsterdam Open 2023 and get the chance to experience the sport up close.

3. Play the sport
As a finale to the Legacy Program, a closing low-threshold tournament will be organized where all participants will meet each other.
